Professional Profile
After a bachelor’s thesis in Philosophy, focusing on the theme of time in moral philosophy in the second half of the twentieth century, I earned a master’s degree in Communication Theories, exploring the Generative Communication paradigm, together with Professor Luca Toschi and his research team. Specifically, my work focused on co-designing and building Healthy Territories through the active participation of stakeholders in community-building programs.
Subsequently, I completed a Master’s degree in Medical-Scientific and Health Services Communication, developing an action-research project with the aim of launching a shared project proposal for guidelines for the design of chatbots to support secondary prevention in oncology.
Within the “scientia Atque usus” Research Center for Generative Communication (ETS), I participate in the editorial team of the “sAu Community” series, contributing to research on areas of interest, writing in-depth articles, conducting interviews with experts, and collaborating on the editing of editorial products.

I earned my Master's degree in Medical-Scientific and Health Services Communication with an action research project on the use of chatbots for access to cancer care.
With the help of Armando Sarti, I created Noterelle al Telefono, a series of articles in which we analyze some current nutrition topics with the help of an expert.
I edited the podcast and articles for "Minuti di Alimentazione," in which Armando Sarti, a doctor specializing in cardiology, pediatrics, anesthesia, and resuscitation, and former head physician at Santa Maria Nuova Hospital, offers twelve short episodes exploring the value of nutrition as a key factor in personal and collective health.
I contributed to the dossier "Viareggio Seen from the Sea" through an analysis of the social media environments of the Viareggio communities and an experiment on Viareggio's presence as a tourist destination seen through chatbots.
I participated in the creation of the SOS “Health Communication” Desk, a participant observation tool for analyzing the communication needs of the Misericordia di San Casciano in Val di Pesa and its community.

The article clarifies that artificial intelligence is a broad set of technologies capable of simulating human intelligence, often associated in the popular imagination with chatbots. These tools, thanks to their simplicity and ease of use, have made AI accessible to the general public. Today, chatbots are also playing an increasingly important role in the healthcare sector, supporting doctors and patients. The article concludes with the results of a university study on the use of chatbots in healthcare.

Why AI is a Public Interest Issue

It focuses specifically on healthcare, a field where AI is already generating profound transformations. This paper summarizes the first phase of research on the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare, conducted as part of the conversational agents project for the Master’s in Medical-Scientific and Healthcare Communication.
